Does George Zimmerman and His Followers Have Common Sense?

I have been confused on why people are on George Zimmerman's side for this case. You would think that everyone agrees that he is guilty for obvious reasons. All this money and time wasted towards this man that pursued a young man that was just visiting his father baffles me...Trayvon MartinGeorge Zimmerman

At first it wasn't even about race. It was about common sense. The dispatcher told Zimmerman that he didn't need to follow this kid and he said "Ok." However he pursued this young man with an intent to harrass him and take the law into his own hands. When he started getting his butt kicked he shot him multiple times in the chest.
I am sure he could have shot him else where, heck he could have hit/kicked him elsewhere to get him off of him. He wanted to kill that boy point blank period!

What made this whole case about race were these few things:

1.) At first they let Zimmerman go after he shot Trayvon Martin and did nothing about it until Martin's parents' lawyer got Al Sharpton to come raise hell about it. He had plenty of time to get his lie right.

2.) Marissa Alexander was denied stand your ground and sentenced to 20 years for just shooting warning shots in the air to keep her abusive husband from harming her.

3.) George Zimmerman's own cousin (known only as Witness #9) claimed that not only did he molest her, but that his family proudly and boldly declared that they do not like black people.

4.) The media. All this hype about riots happening if the prosecution loses. I really hope that people aren't going around planning to riot neighborhoods, especially their own. It doesn't help your community. It harms the economy.

5.) RACIST. The fact that people are referring to Trayvon Martin as the n-word and claiming he was a thug when in reality he was an honor student. I am sure you can imagine all of the "one less n***er here in America" or "I'm glad he killed that aminal" posts I have seen in the last year.

I am so glad that many people of different races, ages, and sex (black, white, hispanic, asian) are coming together on what's right for Trayvon Martin's murder. George Zimmerman, a grown man, profiled and followed a teen after he was instructed to by a dispatcher not to approach this young man and then shot the teen (more than once) when his MMA trained self couldn't bully the kid like he wanted to.

It is so many scenarios that could happen after the verdict of the case. Let's all just pray that there will be peace. Sometimes we just have to do like the old folks say and just "Let go and let God!"

What's your take on the matter? Should Zimmerman be free?
