Watch the Pre-Trial for Murderer George Zimmerman Live

It has been over a year since Trayvon Martin was taken away from his family by a "self-appointed" Neighborhood Watch leader George  Zimmerman yet the trial is just beginning to take place. After being denied extra time to prepare for the case (like a year wasn't enough time), the pre-trial has begun today for George Zimmerman with a jury selection.

This morning Mark O'Mara requested to postpone the date of the trial stating that “We’re not fully ready and we need more time." Of course Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda shut that reasoning down and said Zimmerman's lawyers had “plenty of time” to get ready for trial.

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson quickly rejected the request.

By now we all know the story of what happened to Trayvon Martin. For those of you that don't George Zimmerman shot 17 year old Trayvon Martin in the chest after a scuffle occurred between the two. The "wannabe cop" followed Martin because he looked suspicious.

Zimmerman admitted to killing Martin, but claims it was in self defense (even though he followed the teen against a 9-1-1 dispatcher's request). Zimmerman's lawyer will try to trick convince the jury that this trial is not about race but about defending one's self.
